Destinations: Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Queen Elizabeth is the second largest National park in Uganda with varied vegetation from Lush grassy savannah to rain forests, thick papyrus and crater lakes it’s no wonder that it sustains an immense population remarkable mammal, bird and plant species. The rewarding Mountain Gorilla trekking in the ancient Rain forest of Bwindi is the best wildlife experience in one’s life time.

Itineraries

Day 1

Kampala-Bwindi impenetrable forest.

Our journey to the Mountain Gorilla land starts at 6:30 am soon after your breakfast. It takes us southwestwards passing through the equator in Masaka, to Mbarara town known as the ‘land of milk’. It’s time for us to stretch and have an early one hour lunch break. As we drive, catch sights of cattle akin to this land, the long horned cows of Ankole. We shall pass through the large vast flat savanna lands to the amazing heavily terraced hilly slopes of Kigezi and finally to the impenetrable forest home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas. Check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking- Bwindi Impenetrable forest.

Arise early to the great forest sounds of the Ancient Jungle to a lovely breakfast. With our packed lunch, we go for the pre-trek update from the rangers who will tell you what to expect in the Jungle. Your trek could last anything from three to eight hours. Therefore, your physical stamina is greatly required and this trek will definitely keep you fit. After your highly experiential Gorilla trek, we believe in giving back to the community. We shall participate in a village walk with all proceeds of this walk going directly to the locals. However, this will depend on what time you come back from your trek. During you dinner, you will openly talk about your experiences in the jungle with other travelers. In all, Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is a memory to last your life time.

Day 3

Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The sweet melodies of the jungles creatures set the pace of our day. After breakfast, we take a voyage to Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth seeking out for the Tree Climbing lions found in only 2 places in Africa while on a game drive. Have your afternoon meal and later in the evening we are off for an evening drive in the Katwe area for beautiful scenery and on our way back we may be able to see creatures not commonly seen on our morning game drives. Dinner and overnight

Day 4

Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Wake up early to a warm up tea and head out in the wilds in a 3-4hrs search for the Jungle masters. With the proficiency of your guide you will see the Lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, various species of Antelopes and an array of beautiful birds. Have your midday meal with superior views of the Mweya peninsula, and then ready yourself for a luxurious boat trip on the Kazinga channel. This natural channel connecting Lake Edward and Lake George comes with an astounding population of Hippos with buffaloes, elephants just to mention beating off the afternoon heat at the channel Banks with a striking variety and number of bird species that will make your day complete. Dinner and overnight

Day 5

Queen Elizabeth – Kampala

After breakfast, we drive back to Kampala; we shall call in at the Equator and have some mesmeric photo shots in the north or southern hemisphere at a negligible distance.
Some souvenir shopping may be done here. Then we proceed to the airport and drop you off for your flight.
