Brief notes about Kafue National Park Found in the center of western Zambia, Kafue National Park is the oldest and largest of Zambia’s national parks. It covers a massive 22,400 km². First established as a National Park in the 1950s by the legendary Norman Carr, Kafue is one of the largest national parks in the whole of Africa. Despite its size and prominent location only two hours’ drive from Livingstone, it remains little-known and largely unexplored with vast tracts of its virgin bush still untouched. Thanks to its size and variety of habitat types the Kafue holds a fantastic diversity of wildlife. In recent years the Park has seen a well-managed growth in the number of Safari Camps and Lodges that operate in and around the Park. This new interest has brought with it more visitors and investment to the area, notably in infrastructure with a number of well-graded roads and airstrips. As a consequence of the increasing interest and benefits in terms of investment this brings, the wildlife is beginning to enjoy an increased level of protection by the Zambian Wildlife Authority (ZAWA), always aided and supported by the operators in and adjoining the park.

Itinerary Summary:
Day 1 – Transfer to Mukambi Safari Lodge, Kafue National Park
On arrival at Lusaka International Airport, meet and greet by our driver, who will then assist you with your luggage and take you on an adventurous transfer you to Mukambi Safari Lodge in Kafue National Park and it’s about 04Hrs transfer through the settlement of the local villages.
Check-in and relax, then you will either go on a sunset boat cruise or night game drive depending or your arrival time, then return to the lodge for dinner and bedtime.
Day 2: Mukambi Safari Lodge – Kafue National Park
Today you will have morning breakfast and leave either for a morning game drive or walking safari and during the activity, you will break for tea/coffee. Then you will return to the lodge for lunch and free time (during your time you have an option of visiting Mukambi Fam or Mukambi community school). Then its afternoon Tea and you will leave for the afternoon/night game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and bedtime.
Day 3: Mukambi Safari Lodge – Kafue National Park
Same as day 2 - morning breakfast and leave either for a morning game drive or walking safari and during the activity, you will break for tea/coffee. Then you will return to the lodge for lunch and free time (during your time you have an option of visiting Mukambi Fam or Mukambi community school). Then its afternoon Tea and you will leave for the afternoon/night game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and bedtime.
Day 4 – Transfer to Lusaka /Flight to Livingstone/Transfer to David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa
Morning Breakfast and then you will check out of Mukambi Safari Lodge and our driver take you on 4 hours adventurous to Lusaka in time for your flight to Livingstone.
When we arrive at Livingstone International Airport you will be met by our representative from Absolute Zambia Safaris who will help you with your luggage and transfer you to David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa your home for the last two night of your stay in Zambia.
You will Check in Lunch and free time to relax or optional activities (Bungee Jump, Helicopter flight or Mukuni Village Tour). Then later in the night dinner and bed.
Day 5– Guided Tour & Sunset Boat Cruise –Victoria Falls, Livingstone
Breakfast in the morning, then pick for your guided Victoria Falls Tour, Enjoy the Tour of the falls with one of the best guides with lots of experience and knowledge. Then Return to the lodge for lunch and free time to relax then later in the afternoon you will be picked for a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi river, enjoy the cruise with a beautiful sunset, lots of birds and other wildlife such as elephants, Hippos and crocodiles. During this amazing activity you will be served complimentary drinks and snacks then you will return to the lodge in time for dinner and later on bed.
Day 6: Transfer to Livingstone International Airport
Morning Breakfast then at some stage you will check out of the Lodge and then our driver will transfer you to Livingstone International Airport.
